WESTERN GHATS
The western ghats has been declared a world heritage site by UNESCO. The vast expanse of green that stretches from Gujarat to ending in kerala in the south, covering 6000 square kilometer, the area has over 5000 species of flowering plant, 139 species of mammal, 508 bird species and 179 amphibian species. At least 325 globally threatened species occur is western ghat.
